Exchange 2003 GRT or NON-GRT backup to Backup to Disk folder runs extreamly slow

GRT or NON-GRT backup of Exchange 2003 server to Backup to Disk runs very slow if AOFO option is not enabled. If AOFO option is enabled then the same (GRT or NON-GRT) backup job of Exchange 2003 will complete preety soon.
